Domestic Water Purification

As water travels from the treatment plant to your location there is high possibility that it may be contaminated along the way. Private wells and boreholes do not go through any treatment process hence it is the owner’s responsibility to have their water tested and ensure that it is acceptable to consume.

Point of Use (POU) systems

These systems are installed under your sink and provide a dedicated pure water tap. This system can also be connected to your refrigerator, providing filtered water for drinking, cooking, and other household uses.

Klorman Inline Chlorinators

Klorman is a simple in-line point of use disinfection system that utilizes a compacted calcium hypochlorite chlorine cartridge which releases active chlorine sanitizer into the water flow.

  • Simple adjustment is provided by varying the projection of the cartridge into the water stream to accommodate different flow rates as well as adjustment of water flow and pressure through the unit.
  • Dosage levels vary with site conditions and treatment water chlorine demand, though sufficient dosage is available to ensure adequate water disinfection.

Dosage capacity: 500m³  at 1ppm with no chlorine demand. Capacity varies with flow and installation conditions

UV Sterilizers

Treatment by Ultra Violet light is a proven and highly effective method of eliminating harmful bacteria from drinking water supplies using Ultraviolet light rays.

  • The process has  no chemical additions to the water.
  • It works on the principal that UV light at a specific wavelength emit UV-C rays which are lethal to infectious micro-organisms as they destroy their ability to reproduce and thus renders them harmless.

The process protects against most types of bacteria including legionella, salmonella, faecal coliform, e-coli, influenza, hepatitis and dysentery bacilli and is one of the safest and easiest ways to provide pure, sanitized drinking water.

FRP water softening systems

Water softeners

Water softeners use the ion exchange principal for the removal of hardness in water exchanging the Calcium and Magnesium ions, which cause the hardness condition.  The filter is regenerated at regular intervals using Brine salt or Sodium Chloride solution by a backwash process during which the removal hardness ions are flushed to waste. All softeners include the following:-

  • Strong GRP reinforced polyethylene resin tank designed for long life.
  • Polyethylene brine tank with drain piping.
  • Control valve that automatically cycles the regeneration process on either a volume or time elapsed basis depending upon parameter specifications. Regeneration can be programmed according to operating conditions.
  • A filter charge of cationic ion exchange resin.
